Summer has now come to an end. And I’m switching to the next season. Autumn in New York…..
The Plight of the Honey Bee
” Hello Olivia. I dont know where you are physically. But if you are in the greater new york city area, give me a call. The reason why I am calling you is because a thunderstorm has knocked over a very large tree and lo and behold a very massive bee hive has been discovered. Six or so beekeepers are going to arrive at the Bronx Zoo tomorrow to put them in hives. and doing very intensive...

The Lake House
Last week someone told me that Lake Champlain was a Great Lake. I told him that was a dirty lie…but he didn’t believe me. I Wikipediad it. If you didn’t remember, they are…Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, Ontario. Lake Champlain, though not as grand, is pretty fantastic anyway. And if I lived here I would swim in it everyday because it’s just perfect, even when its...

Layers like nail polish on long nails (Summer Days...
There comes a time when one gets a hankering to build a home. If I were to build a home I would dream it here. I would sleep outside in the summers (and divert the bugs with bright purple lights) I would plant flowers-red purple green kaleidescope colors on a canvas of mossy green. I would build the beams and paint the walls and carve the corners and each year I would make layers like nail polish...
To Maine we go (For lunch)
Maine is for lovers. Lobster lovers. There we eat like ravenous cavemen by the sea, next to the gigantic Lobster Father. We also ate roadside blueberries, mini versions of the larger, little candy skittles. Just Yelena (the Russian, I would make my wife if I was a man. Santiago, the rusted beater that we have loved. Loretta, the billowing skirt that will be shared. And Me) On the road- New York to...

Cape Cod
When I was young, I used to dance to Frank Sinatra for my Mother in the living room. I used to think him and Beethoven were the best ever…Long Island is nothing like home. This is my first movie with my Canon 5d Mark II. I think next time I will use a tripod.
Why do people always say they hate country and opera?
I like both country (old rusted kind) and opera, especially Loretta Lynn. (Who was mistakenly playing in the back ground out of Pandora)
Justyna in summer night loveliness…
Nature's Prozac
Blackout is the first word I think of when I hear the phrase “summer in the city”.
In my mind this word is strictly linked with images of sweaty New Yorkers having dance parties on the street, hanging out on stoops, while their mothers (or wives) scream sassy things to them out of their windows.
A nice, wholesome daydream.
This idylic scenery is immediately then disrupted by the...
